\nNormal Family did not exist. Yet all Families studied met the criteria
\nfor Dysfunctional until it became apparent that Normal was
\nDysfunctional and Dysfunctional was Normal. Dysfunctional was the New
\nNormal. This was an exciting find!<\/p>\n
\ndays in which they are less Functional or Not Functional at all.
\nTherefore, Dysfunctional Family refers to most Normal Families when
\nthey are having a sort of Bad Hair Day with some days the hair having
\nbeen done by a an unskilled carpenter using a cake beater as a brush. <\/p>\n
\nKillers are not the result of a merely Dysfunctional Family nor are
\nSociopaths merely Neurotic. The proper term for Families which contain
\ndisturbed offspring or parents who are Psychotic Sociopaths or other
\nsimilarly disturbed individuals has not yet been determined although
\nthe responsibility for the resulting behaviors generally lie with the
\nperpetrator of unacceptable behavior, regardless of their role in the
\nFamily. <\/p>\n
\nbut there may be others in the Family who are also Psychotic. Thus no
\nterm can describe ALL of the members of the Family which contains the
\nseriously disturbed and compassion must be extended to most of those
\nrelated to those so impaired.<\/p>\nPersonality Disorder: <\/h3>\n
\nWhen used by those whose training in Psychology and Mental Health is
\nminimal and who have an agenda, it is an amusingly useful and
\nintelligent sounding insult to toss at aggravating relatives, no matter
\nhow much evidence there is that said relatives are Normal (For further
\ndiscussion of Normal, see Dysfunctional Family above). <\/p>\n
\nsides due to its potential for absurdity. An example of this follows:<\/p>\n
\nis what your pain in the butt kid has. If you are the child, then this
\nis what your jerky parent has. Whether you yourself have it is a moot
\npoint as no one with NPD can recognize it in themselves so … you see
\n… the only way you would be sure not to have it is if you say you
\nhave it. There is one guy on the internet who does this but it is
\npossible that he does have it …. because he exploits it …. so
\nperhaps he is the one person who claims to have it and actually has it.
\nSo if you say you have it and you are exploiting it, then you may
\nindeed have it too.<\/p>\n
