The announcement reads as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>A NEW JERSEY no-fee \u201cPARENTS of ESTRANGED CHILDREN\u201d community Support Group<\/em> <em>will begin meeting at the STARTING POINT in Westmont, New Jersey (Camden County)<\/em>.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>This newly formed mutual support group is for parents who find themselves temporarily or permanently estranged from their children for any of various reasons. In today\u2019s environment with divorce, addictions, and other divisive issues that families face, it can be comforting to know that you are not alone in seeking to cope with this painful hardship. Dealing with the loss of a relationship can be improved by our sharing our experiences and strengths. By relating your experience; or by just listening to another parent\u2019s story and finding a commonality, one can often find some peace of mind.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><em><br \/>This no-fee support group will seek to provide parents a safe environment in which to share what is in their hearts &#8211; a place where hope, encouragement, mutual support and resources will enable healing in their lives. The group hopes to apply possible reconciliation techniques, like those found in Dr. Coleman\u2019s book.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Any parent who is experiencing this crisis is welcome to come, listen, and hopefully participate. Pre-registration is not required. The meetings will take place starting Tuesday nights, beginning June 3rd, 2008, from 6:30 to 8 pm, at the Starting Point in Westmont, NJ. The Starting Point, Inc. is a non-profit educational and referral center located at 215 Highland Avenue, Suite C, Westmont, NJ 08108. The telephone number is 856-854-3155.
